The Republican Scandals Continue

The Republicans are finally going to get the Ethics Committee together. Apparently, they were too busy to meet on other Republicans Tom DeLay and Bob Ney, but now they have to do something.

The Other Paper has an article about Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce's response to the alleged sexual activities of former Republican Rep. Mark Foley. Pryce (OH-15) is part of the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives. Here is an excerpt from the article:

Deborah Pryce learned something about one of her good friends last week. She learned that he’s a sexual predator.

Prior to Friday, Pryce considered Mark Foley one of her best friends in the U.S. House of Representatives....

...At any rate, Pryce has not yet joined the those—including her election opponent, Democratic Franklin County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy—who are calling for Hastert’s head. She said she believes he had no knowledge of the sexually explicit messages from Foley.

Pryce said nothing has convinced her the speaker “had any access to this.”

“I don’t know that he did. I’m almost certain he didn’t or he wouldn’t have let this stuff go on.”

>Brian Ross of ABC News is reporting that 3 more pages are accusing Foley. Here is an excerpt from that article:

...The pages served in the classes of 1998, 2000 and 2002. They independently approached ABC News after the Foley resignation through the Brian Ross & the Investigative Team's tip line on ABCNews.com. None wanted their names used because of the sensitive nature of the communications....

**There are rumors on the "internets" that the Republicans warned their Republican pages, but not those pages serving for Democrats. I'm sure in the days to come, more information will be revealed about this latest Republican scandal.

>>>Republican Rep. Mike Ferguson (NJ-7) must be another family value GOP member. According to the Washington Post, Ferguson was drunk in a bar near the Georgetown campus, and he had an altercation with a female student. Ferguson should spend more time with his wife and children.

Is the entire Republican Party having a meltdown??????
