President Clinton Visits Columbus

President Bill Clinton spoke at a fundraiser in Columbus to support Sherrod Brown, Ted Strickland, and other Democrats. Here is an excerpt from the Dispatch:

...The former president also urged the election of other Ohio Democrats, noting he especially wanted Jennifer Brunner to win the race for secretary of state "to make sure we count the votes," a poke at J. Kenneth Blackwell, current Republican secretary of state and gubernatorial candidate.

Clinton drew a hearty cheer when he declared, "The best thing I could wish for you is that both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Ohio Democrats will have a clean sweep."
