Where is Kasich's Education Plan?

While John Kasich remains in an undisclosed location, educators, parents, and students are wondering what cuts he'd make to education in Ohio, if he is elected.  So far, Kasich has talked in generalities about schools, but he has not put a plan out there for the public to see.  Why?  Kasich knows that if Ohioans see the drastic cuts he has planned in all levels of education, they would refuse to vote for him.  Kasich knows that if Ohio's high school students who are 18, college students, and parents see the programs he wants to eliminate and the jobs he wants to abolish, people would cringe and refuse to support him.

Kasich has made it no secret that he is for total school choice and charter schools.  However, with Kasich's pro-charter school push, we can see that students will suffer. (Kasich's children won't suffer, because he can afford to send them to private school.)  Charter school teachers are less qualified (little or no teaching experience, less certifications, etc.) than teachers in public schools and many leave after one or two years.  Some charter schools only require that their teachers have temporary substitute teaching certificates. Low pay scale, poor administrative support, lack of teaching materials and supplies, inappropriate school room fixtures, disrespectful attitudes of owners/supervisors toward students and teachers, are just a few of the reasons why teachers in charter schools leave after a short time.

While the owners of the charter schools profit, and then contribute to Republican candidates (Husted and Kasich), our tax dollars help make people rich at the expense of Ohio's students.  In a way, our tax dollars are indirectly funding Republicans.

The last thing we should do in Ohio is fund tax cuts for the rich by making drastic, draconian cuts to education.  Will Kasich "man up" and tell us his plan?
