Where do the Republicans find their candidates?

*** Republican candidate for Congress for Ohio's 9th congressional district, Richard Iott, has a strange hobby - - - he likes to dress up in SS uniforms with his friends.  Richard Iott has continued to defend his weekend re-enactment hobby.

Republican Iott said they (the SS) thought they were fighting against a bigger threat than their country, Germany.  Iott is a moron.  How can any person defend the SS or participation in a historical re-enactment that glorifies theses killers?  How can Iott call the SS valiant men?

*  Steve Chabot, friend, supporter, and lap dog of George W. Bush and his policies, is running again for Ohio's 1st congressional district.  Chabot, who lost to Rep. Richard Driehaus in the last election, has missed the highlife of lobbyist parties, weekends with Boehner, and all fun.

Steve Chabot's record is very shameful. Chabot supported free trade (like Kasich) and then Chabot voted against helping workers who lost jobs to free trade ( Bill HR3920 ; vote number 2007-1025 on Oct 31, 2007: see On The Issues).  Chabot is: anti-worker (voted against raising minimum wage), anti-children (voted against increasing number of children covered with SCHIP), anti-environment, anti-Civil Rights,  and anti-senior citizen (see Ontheissues for details on Chabot).

* In Ohio's 15th district, Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy is being challenged by a former bank lobbyist, Steve Stivers.  Stivers worked for Bank One, before it was bought by Chase.  As a bank lobbyist, Stivers worked to protect the values and profits of Bank One, fought against consumer protection, fought against the growth of credit unions, fought against state control over rising ATM fees, and explained to bankers how to get around the "do not call list." Stivers has been adopted by bankers, insurance firms, Wall Street, the Chamber of Commerce, drug companies, oil/gas/utility corp., as well as lobbyists associated with all these groups.  Steve Stivers, who is against bank reform (can you guess why?), and health care reform. Stivers even tried to cut certain workers from an increase in minimum wage in Ohio.

Steve Stivers is the perfect corporate candidate.  He got their money and, if elected, will work for them.

*  Tom Ganley is the Republican candidate for Ohio's 13th district.  OMG.

*  John "I'd rather be golfing" Boehner is running for Ohio's 8th district.  In a recent poll, a majority of the people in the 8th district disapprove of Boehner.  Here is my advice about Boehner: DON'T VOTE FOR BOEHNER.  If the people in Ohio's 8th never see him, think he is arrogant, and hasn't delivered anything for their district, vote for JUSTIN COUSSOULE, Democrat.  Surprise the nation and kick Boehner out!

There is not enough time and space to cover every strange Republican, so I'll make a quick list with comments:

Jon Husted - Where the hell does he live?  Why do rules and laws apply to everyone but Husted?
John Kasich - He thinks all Ohioans are lazy.  Kasich got his bonus even after retirees lost money.
Mike DeWine -Does he even know what the Attorney General of Ohio does?
Rob Portman -  As the Senate Guru said, "Rob Portman, A Bush Guy."
Bob Gibbs - Free trader. Enough said.
Pat Tiberi - Boehner's shadow. He has done NOTHING FOR HIS DISTRICT.
