Voters are Concerned

John Kasich, Republican candidate for Ohio governor, has made a lot of voters very wary of his plans for ~

(a) Ohio's public education,
(Kasich's plan: promote charter schools, consolidate school districts, remove local control of schools, etc.)

(b) the elimination of state income tax and the ramifications,
(Kasich's plan: cut the state income tax which provides 40% of the state's funding; this will reduce the amount of money given to counties, cities, and villages)

(c) the privatization/sell off of state agencies,
(Kasich's plan:  "if it is in the phone book..." - sell off state parks and state services, and possibly privatize public libraries)

(d) public school teachers and his continuous vilification of teachers, professors, and other professional educators,
(Kasich's plan: as quoted in the Star Beacon "break the back of teachers' unions")

(e) the elimination of the Ohio Department of Development to be replaced with his Wall Street cronies with guaranteed bonuses. (Kasich's plan: Kasich would choose his friends and  CEO's to sit on his state funded Dept. of Development where they would be eligible for publicly funded bonuses.)

Kasich has embraced the tea party movement and the goals/plans and campaign contribution of Sarah Palin (SARAHPAC).  That in itself should raise the ire of Ohio voters.

While Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, was in the state senate, he produced no new jobs for his district ----  but he did protect the profits of banks and payday lenders!!!!  Stivers is promoting a jobs plan for Buckeyes.  Do you know what kind of jobs plan Stivers wants?????  Stivers supports the failed "trickle down economics" which does not produce jobs, but only makes the rich richer.

How is Steve Stivers spending that large campaign contribution he received from Sarah Palin?  What did he promise her in return?  Do people in central Ohio want someone who has been approved and blessed by Sarah Palin????
