"...favored by the banking industry..."

In an article from American Banker (Sept. 7, 2010)(retrieved from library), we find this about Republican Steve Stivers, a former "top" lobbyist with Bank One:

...Republicans began targeting Kilroy's seat almost as soon as she won it. Stivers, who formerly worked for Bank One and is favored by the banking industry, lost to Kilroy in 2008 by 2,311 votes after a recount.

Commercial banks were the No. 2 industry contributing to Stivers' campaign, with $62,050 in combined donations from bank PACs and people who work in the industry as of Aug. 1, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

By contrast, commercial banks do not even register among Kilroy's top 20 industry contributors...

As you go to vote, remember those words -
"...Stivers, who formerly worked for Bank One and is favored by the banking industry..."

If Stivers is "...favored by the banking industry...", does that mean he'll help them turn back financial reform?
If Stivers is "...favored by the banking industry...", does that mean he'd work to protect banks instead of constituents?

STEVE STIVERS: "...favored by the banking industry..."

Do we really need a bank lobbyist as a member of Congress?  Do we really need someone like Stivers who tried to roll back part of the state minimum wage for some jobs?
