A Church With Candidate Signs?

* Why does a Presbyterian Church at 6400 Post Road in Dublin, Ohio, seem to be supporting a certain candidate?  Do they know they could lose their tax-exempt status by having Josh Mandel candidate signs on their church property?

*  There was a debate in Worthington, Ohio, with candidates for Ohio's 15th congressional district.  Candidates who attended the debate included Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy, William Kammerer, and Bill Buckel attended.  Republican Steve Stivers, a former "top" bank lobbyist for seven years with Bank One, was absent. Some in the community center wondered if Stivers was afraid to appear.

* I participated in the Quinnipiac Poll tonight. They asked questions on candidate preference, favorable/unfavorable views on candidates for Ohio Governor, and the U.S. Senate vacancy.

*  Ron Johnson, the Republican candidate opposing Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, has an interesting business practice.  According to a community blog at southmilwaukeenow, Ron Johnson uses "....prison-inmate labor for his plastics business.

.....Just as Johnson favors trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA that ship jobs out of Wisconsin, he uses prisons inmates so he can get away with creating the barest minimum number of jobs for Wisconsin worker....

No wonder Johnson got so wealthy.  He doesn't have to pay benefits, insurance, or anything for his workers.   I guess Johnson can't claim to have created jobs in the private sector since his workers are in a prison.  I wonder what they get paid since he doesn't even have to pay them the minimum wage.

Eric Cantor is with Jon Stewart tonight.  Jon Stewart asked Cantor about his votes for unfunded legislation like No Child Left Behind, Medicare Drug Bill, etc.

In the closing days of the campaign, John Kasich is starting to sound like he is totally disgusted with Ohio and Ohioans.  Here are some  Kasich quotes from an appearance in Mentor, Ohio.  WCPN:

KASICH:
“We are not being viewed as a positive place to locate a business. Why? - Our taxes are too high, our regulations are too strangling, too much paperwork, not enough co-operation, not a business attitude, we’re not training workers… and we’re not educating our kids.”

KASICH:
“We’re gonna retrain workers by putting more money into training workers who are currently working. Right now they’re not the emphasis, its people who don’t have a job.  Well, we need to help them, but we need to keep people working, so that they don’t end up being unemployed.”

Isn't that the stupidest comment you've ever heard - - "....more money into training workers who are currently working. Right now they’re not the emphasis, its people who don’t have a job."...

What are his plans for the unemployed?  Does he even have a plan?
