Republican Rep. Steve Stivers (OH-15) might be "vulnerable" according to an article at TheHill:
Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Ohio) isn't a shoo-in for reelection, according
to a new poll conducted for his Democratic opponent, Pat Lang.
The
poll, conducted by Public Policy Polling and obtained by The Hill,
shows Stivers leading Lang 43 percent to 33 percent in the
Republican-leaning district.....
Pat Lang, the Democrat, is better known in the more rural areas of the district. Lang also has vowed to protect middle class families and Medicare. Lang's opponent, Stivers, has appeared to be representing bankers instead of the human beings in his district. Given Stivers former job as a bank lobbyist, his relationship with the banking industry is a little too cozy for some people.
**** The Republican candidate for Senate, Josh Mandel, has proven to be a darling for the far right, big money Republican donors. Unfortunately, Mandel's robotic talking points speeches, massive absences from his job as Ohio Treasurer, hiring of unqualified friends for the Treasurer's office, his pandering to right wing PACs all over the country, his lack of support for the middle class and working women, his anti-reproductive rights stance, his pro-SB 5 support, his dirty campaigning, etc., have just worn out Ohio voters. Josh Mandel is like a puppet for the right wing tea party Republicans. Every week there appears to be more embarrassing revelations about Mandel. On top of all that, Mandel has lied about the record of Sen. Sherrod Brown.
AmericanBridgePAC:
Ohio Daily Blog has the latest on Josh Mandel:
....Maybe Joshie's feeling cocky because he knows that Sherrod Brown is not as unprincipled and unethical as he is and would never use this material. Sherrod's too busy talking about issues anyway — how to retain jobs by making trade fairer, how to serve veterans, how to expand access to health care. You know, things that impact people's lives.
Meanwhile, Mandel is out there lying and smearing and hiding his own
positions behind boilerplate Republican talking points — or simply
saying nothing at all.
