A Win by Kasich Will Outsource Ohio Jobs

*  Republican congressional candidate, Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, has been attacking Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (Democrat-OH-15th) on a regular basis. Stivers just doesn't seem that interested in issues that concern people in the 15th district. Over at his website, Stivers got a little too concerned about the bond market and an article in the Wall Street Journal. Stivers, a former broker with the Ohio Company, has his eyes focused on Wall Street---- not on Main Street. Stivers doesn't care about regular people. The only people Stivers wants to help are lobbyists, bankers, and country club folks who can afford to buy stocks and bonds.

* Just when you thought John Kasich couldn't possibly do any additional harm to Ohio (with the loss of over $400 million from Ohio's public pension funds at Kasich's Lehman Brothers), comes news that a win by Kasich would make Ohio lose money and thousands of jobs.

The good people over at Daily Kos have the full rundown of how Kasich, if elected, would refuse money for Ohio, and thereby give that money to another state.  Ohio would lose even more construction/manufacturing jobs, and millions of dollars.

DailyKos:

Kasich wants those jobs to go out of state. From Cleveland Scene Weekly:

Republican gubernatorial challenger John Kasich is no fan of rail either. His camp didn't respond to interview requests for this story, but a news clip posted on his website about Ohio rail studies is headlined "Train Already Wasting Taxpayer Money." And he said earlier this year that the $400 million Ohio received for rail would be better spent on Ohio's roads and bridges.

But it can't be: The funds are specifically attached to rail. If Kasich becomes governor in November and decides to kill the 3C project, Ohio's money will go to other states. With California, Florida, and the Pacific Northwest, among others, ramping up to build their stimulus-funded routes, someone else will be waiting in line to take the money Ohio leaves on the table.

A win by Kasich will only plunge Ohio into the great abyss. While other states gain ground and recover, Ohio would be stripped of hope, jobs, libraries, public schools, city/county/state services, and manufacturing jobs. However, Kasich and his millionaire friends will get more huge tax breaks as Kasich implements his "trickle down" economic plan.

*** Plunderbund has seen something in Kasich's ad which uses the closed DHL complex as the background.  Kasich ends his ad just short of singing the song from Annie, "The sun will come out tomorrow...."
