The Past Comes Back to Hit You in the Face

* Ohio's pension funds, State Teachers Retirement Fund of Ohio, the Public Employees Retirement System, the School Employees Retirement System, the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, and the Highway Patrol Retirement System, lost hundreds of millions of dollars when Lehman Brothers went bankrupt. John Kasich helped make introductions to enable the retirement fund managers to meet his buddies at Lehman Brothers.

Not only did other state pension funds lose millions that they invested with Lehman, so did municipalities.

What did Kasich do?  Did he talk with any of these other pension funds and municipalities?  When will Kasich let us see how much he made when Lehman was rolling in the money?  What is he hiding?

* As budget director and trade representative, Repbulican Rob Portman worked very closely with President George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.  Portman carried out the Bush economic policy and promoted the Bush trade policies.

How close did Portman work with Bush?  Here are some pictures of Portman and Bush:

Portman not only worked in the Bush administration, but he socialized with Bush. Knowing what we know now, do the voters in Ohio want to have someone like Portman represent them in the U.S. Senate?  Portman and Bush helped create the trade and budget mess we're in today.
