Boehner: Clueless

Republican John Boehner (OH-8th) has called teachers "special interests." Sounds to me that Boehner doesn't even know what teachers do.  Thankfully, some teachers have responded to Boehner through this video:

As I recall, Boehner spent 119 days golfing in one year with his special interests like lobbyists, bankers, and other big machers who contribute obscene amounts of money to the Boehner "I want to be Speaker!" Fund.  Boehner doesn't have a clue about the work that goes into teaching children, and he has no respect for teachers and the challenges they face in the classroom.

Boehner and John Kasich dislike teachers and refuse to meet with them.  Kasich almost seems frightened of teachers.

Here is a reaction to Boehner's comments, as posted at Think Progress:

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) released the following statement this morning: "Incredibly, the Republican Leader John Boehner disparagingly referred to those who teach our children, protect our homes, and keep our streets safe as ‘special interests.’ Washington Republicans are opposed to supporting our teachers, firefighters, and policemen at home in order to protect corporate tax loopholes that promote the export of American jobs.”

Keep in mind, ladies and gentlemen, that the Republicans want to give tax cuts to the rich and they've refused to pass legislation to help those First Responders of 9/11 who are facing ongoing health problems.  Shame on Boehner, McConnell, and the rest of the selfish, greedy, Republicans who are more interested in the rich than the men and women who were there on 9/11.
