Priorities

*  Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy, continues to work to support the people, children, and teachers of central Ohio.

The Hill:

"I voted yes to keep over 5,500 teachers in their classrooms in Ohio," said Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Ohio), who is facing a tough challenge from Republican Steve Stivers, who narrowly lost to Kilroy in 2008.

"The only reason we had to rush back here is because Republicans in the Senate kept holding up help," Kilroy said.
...

The legislation does not add to our deficit, but that doesn't matter to the likes of Boehner and Republicans who hate children, teachers, and public schools.  Boehner and the Republicans continue to be the "Party of No" even when it comes to the matters of helping educate our children.

Kilroy has made the people of central Ohio her #1 priority.  This cannot be said of her opponent.

*  By now you've noticed that Republican congressional candidate, Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, has become the darling of big banks, lobbyists, Tea Party people, Wall Streeters, the far right, and people who want to repeal parts of our Constitution. If Stivers would win, normal, hard-working individuals and families in Ohio's 15th district would be the real losers.  Stivers has done well in the past protecting bankers, cash-checking profiteers, and insurance firms, and these groups have been pouring in campaign contributions to protect/increase their profits.

This is what Stivers and his Republican backers are protecting:

Stivers knows and understands the banking business, has friends in banking, and he owes a certain allegiance to those in the money business.  A few weeks ago, Stivers was in a dither over the bond market, while most people in the 15th district were concerned with just holding on until we have a total economic recovery. Stivers seems more worried about Wall Street than Main Street.
