A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

* This is my favorite picture of Republican Jon Husted, candidate for Ohio Secretary of State. (pic from Progressohio)

* I'm beginning to wonder if Republican congressional candidate, Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, really even cares about average people.  Stivers has worked to protect bankers when he was a bank lobbyist and even seemed somewhat protective of bankers when he was in the state senate.  He always seemed to be more concerned with banks and their profits than his own constituents.

Stivers also has demonstrated great affection for insurance agents. In a Dispatch article from June 15, 2006, Stivers wrote a bill that "...would exempt insurance agents from ethics laws."

Steve Stivers appears to have real devotion to the plight of bankers and those associated with insurance.  That explains why he continues to be the darling of banks and insurance PACs and individual donors associated with these industries.  Stivers also has received 2 campaign contributions in 2010 from Murray Energy, for a total of $6000, according to the Federal Election Commission.
