Tonight at the Wexner estate, Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, will hold a fundraiser. Needless to say, I won't be there. At $10,000/person, Romney will be rubbing elbows with 200 of Ohio's Republicans that can afford to attend. Word has it that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a former Vice President at Lehman Brothers, will also attend.
>>>> Mitt Romney gave a speech today in Florida to a large group representing the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. It appears that Romney's speech was about as inspiring as white bread. Here is a post from Mother Jones:
.....Overall, Romney's speech was a parade of sidesteps and distortions.
Romney said Obama "failed to address immigration reform" despite having
"huge majorities" that made him "free to pursue any policy he pleased."
In fact the Democrats filibuster-proof majority lasted about 14 weeks,
and Obama's attempts to address immigration reform meet with unanimous
opposition and obstruction from Senate Republicans. Republicans blocked
immigration reform and are now blaming Obama for not addressing it.....
Romney's stupid idea that people should "self-deport" shows that he doesn't really have a clue about how his plan would hurt families. Romney apparently doesn't have a solution to help people solve this because Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, Jim DeMint, Mitch McConnell and others haven't given him his agenda yet. Face it. Romney is just a puppet for the far right.
