President Obama in Columbus on Saturday!

I hope that you've heard the good news:

President Obama and Mrs. Michelle Obama will be in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, May 5th at the Schottenstein Center  (Lane and Olentangy River Rd.). The doors open at 10:30am, but the program will start either late morning or early afternoon. Tickets are not necessary and the event is free.

If you've been to one of these rallies, you know that there will be very tight security and parking will be hard to find. Car pool with your friends.

{You should also be aware that there is a half marathon on Saturday. To avoid the traffic snarls and road closures, check out the map at CapitalCityHalfMarathon map page.}

The campaign page has this suggestion:

All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.

For information on how you can be part of the campaign, visit the Obama campaign page. I'll see you there!
