The Republicans Own It!

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!

Republican Rep. Eric Cantor said that Democrats are causing the violence and threats. Really? Seriously? He can say that with a straight face? He has a lot of chutzpah to tell that lie.

We need to look at how the Republicans have fanned the flames. With terms used by Republicans like "You Lie!" or "Baby killer!" or calling African American members of Congress racial epithets or saying that health care reform will be "...Obama's Waterloo..." ---the Republicans urged their base to act out.

Then you have crazy Glenn Beck, who has difficulty completing a sentence, starting lies and telling his sheeple what to do.

Here is a little reminder about the awful stuff from the GOP and their teabagger friends from the NY Times:

....Rep. John Boehner, the Republican who wants to be the next speaker of the House, predicted “Armageddon,” and shouted “Hell, no!,” his perma-tan turning crimson in rage....

...“Let’s beat the other side to a pulp!” Rep. Steve King, Republican of Iowa, shouted to the last stand of Tea Partiers on Sunday night. “Let’s chase them down! There’s going to be a reckoning.”...

....Having welcomed Tea Party rage into their home, and vowing repeal, the Republicans have made a dangerous bargain. First, they are tying their fate to a fringe, one that includes a small faction of overt racists and unstable people. The Quinnipiac poll this week found only 13 percent of Americans say they are part of the Tea Party movement....

There is even a picture from the NY Times showing Republicans standing outside the Congress inciting the tea bagger demonstrators (NYTimes).

The Republicans and their Tea Party pals own the fallout. The Republican have lied about the health care reform law just the way they lied about going to war in Iraq. Their entire political party is based on lies and saying "NO!"

***Now that the Dispatch has revealed the name of the individual who verbally assaulted the pro-health care man who suffers from Parkinson's Disease, the Republicans, tea baggers, and other groups are trying to step back from the violence and threats of violence against Democratic members of Congress. The blame for all this should be put at the feet of the Republican Party, Dick Armey, and leadership who refused to debate in a civilized manner.

When Boehner, Armey, Cantor, Steve King, Palin, Kasich, Husted, Portman, Taylor, Limbaugh, Beck, and other assorted GOPers align themselves with a group and encourage loud, inappropriate behavior, they own the results of their incitement. If Democrats have been threatened, perhaps the above mentioned individuals and others should be named as co-conspirators for providing the message and access.

Crabby old John McCain said he would no longer cooperate with the majority Democrats since the health care law was passed. McCain wasn't cooperating anyway! What a bunch of baloney. Now we see what a sourpuss, resentful person McCain really is. Aren't we glad HE ISN'T President??????
John Boehner had this to say, according to U.S. News.com:

"Well, there are a lot of angry Americans and they are angry over this healthcare bill. They're angry about the fact that the Democrats here in Washington aren't listening to them. But I've got to tell you that violence and threats are unacceptable. It is not the American way. Yes, I know there is anger, but let's take that anger, and go out and register people to vote, go volunteer on a political campaign, and let's do it the right way. I'm concerned about the amount of violence and anger that's out there … it's unacceptable."

Is Boehner trying to make excuses for the violence?

Then we have Limbaugh telling people to destroy the White House switchboard and it was posted at the NRCC, National Republican Congressional Committee (find your own Google link because I can't stand looking at or listening to Limbaugh). The Republicans had a code red program to harass Democrats.

Shame on the Republicans, their Fox News puppet masters, and the rest of the crazies on the right.

The GOP let the violent genie out of the bottle and chaos ensued. They own the results. The American people are sick of the right wing violence, name calling, and hate speech and it needs to stop.
