More Than You Know...

* According to an article in the Dispatch, Jon Husted wants the state to refuse to take federal money from the Race to the Top program for schools. Husted probably is unhappy because his buddy/campaign contributor that owns most of the charter schools won't get any money (boo-hoo). I think that Husted's dissatisfaction with the money shows his lack of understanding about what goes on in schools, how children learn, and the complexity of teaching in the modern world. In other words, Husted is clueless. Besides, Husted just wants the state to fall into the economic toilet so he'll win.

By the way, has Husted improved his campaign website? Has he suggested the way he'll protect voters, votes, and make it easier to vote? No. Do you know why? Husted's aim is bring back the horrible days of Ken Blackwell when voters were challenged and votes were destroyed. Husted even wants to cut back on early voting days because the programs favors Democratic voters.

Here is what Democrat Mary Ellen O'Shaughnessy has on her website as she campaigns for Ohio Secretary of State:

....Maryellen is running for Secretary of State because she is passionate about our democracy and wants Ohio to continue to have free, open, and fair elections. As Ohio's next Secretary of State, she will advocate greater participation and more civic awareness. She will push to make it easy for Ohioans to register to vote by allowing applicants for driver's licenses and social services to be provided assured voter registration, unless they opt out, and promote changes to make it possible for citizens to securely register to vote on the Internet. She will also enhance programs targeted at increasing voter participation among Ohioans of all ages, particularly young people.....

Who will protect YOUR vote?

*** I'd like to know why John Kasich has a link at the Westerville Library and there doesn't seem to be one for Governor Ted Strickland: http://www.westervillelibraries.org/kasich/
