*** If you need another reason not support Republican candidate, Steve Stivers, here it is:
Washington Post:
....Earlier in the week, Romney threw his support behind Ohio Rep. Jean Schmidt as well as former representative Steve Chabot and former state senator Steve Stivers, both of whom are seeking to knock off Democratic incumbents in the Buckeye State.....
I would never vote for Mitt Romney. Any man who puts his family dog in a cage and ties it to the roof of his car, and then drives for twelve hours with his dog still on the roof, will never, ever get my support (TIME Magazine). It doesn't matter which right wing Republican candidate Romney supports, because I'd never vote for them.
**** The new health care law states that young people can now stay on their parents health insurance until age 26, will make a lot of families happy. Unfortunately, if elected, Steve Stivers promised to work for repeal of the health care law.
The new health care law states that women will be able to get their mammograms and yearly exams paid for by their insurance companies. Unfortunately, if elected, Steve Stivers promised to work for repeal of the new health care law.
We cannot afford Stivers, a pro-bank, anti-health care law, right winger to represent us in Congress.
With Stivers in a lovefest with the Tea Party crowd, will that turn away moderates? (See more at TheHill.com.) Besides wanting to repeal the health care law, Stivers also wants to repeal the 17th Amendment (direct voting for Senators). That sounds very, very extreme right wing.
* We need some Democrats on the Ohio Supreme Court!!! The all Republican court continues to support a straight pro-Republican agenda.
** I'd like to offer a big Thank You to Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy for her support of the new health care law.
THANK YOU, REP. KILROY!
