Republicans Not Interested in Ohio's 15th District

There is an article in The Other Paper that says that the Ohio Republican Party has gone through their "A" list, their "B" list, and now they are at the bottom of the barrel looking for a candidate to run against Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy in Ohio's 15th congressional district. According to The Other Paper, every person who has been offered the chance to run against Kilroy has turned it down.

Mary Jo Kilroy lost to Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce by just a little over one thousand votes. Pryce was surprised by Kilroy's strong campaign skills. Obviously, Republicans consider Kilroy a tough opponent and it may take some convincing to get a GOPer to run against her.

Here is similar information from CBS News:
(Politico) Republicans have had a difficult time lately convincing some of their more highly regarded recruits to jump into hotly contested races.

-- In Ohio, former Attorney General Jim Petro (R) decided not to run in the seat vacated by retiring GOP Rep. Deborah Pryce. Then former Columbus Mayor Greg Lashutka passed up a bid. The local Republican party is now scrambling to find a viable candidate to challenge Mary Jo Kilroy, the likely Democratic nominee.....

It looks like the Republicans have some problems.
