Former Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro and Ex-Columbus Mayor Greg Lashutka will not run for Congress, 10TV reported Monday.......
....Petro said that he would pursue the race for Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. That election is in 2010.
Former Columbus mayor Greg Lashutka was among the names that insiders considered for Pryce's seat but he also announced he would not run for the seat, Fortney reported.
The announcements leave Republicans with few candidates remaining with name recognition. Former Franklin County Commissioner Dewey Stokes, considered a popular Republican, has not decided on running.....Stokes might not be interested because of the massive travel requirements for the job. Stokes likes staying close to his family.
