Breaking News: Republican Deborah Pryce Won't Run Again

10TV.com:
Republican sources told 10TV News on Wednesday that Ohio Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-Columbus) will not run for re-election.

Pryce is expected to announce her plans for 2008 at a news conference on Thursday morning, 10TV News reported....

....According to Republican sources who spoke with 10TV News, Kilroy could face former Attorney General Jim Petro, who lost his bid for Ohio Governor in the 2006 Republican primary against Secretary of State Ken Blackwell.....

You remember Jim Petro, don't you? While the Tom Noe scandal was going on, Petro took his good old time investigating it. Petro, who is an extreme right winger, would provide a great political battle with Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy in the race. The people in Ohio's 15th congressional district would just have to decide if they want to be represented by a far right conservative like Petro, or someone more moderate like Kilroy. Considering how Kilroy almost beat Pryce last year, would the Republicans really choose Petro as their candidate for the 15th?
