Notes from the Center of Ohio

>>Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy is getting ready for her run for Ohio's 15th congressional district.
Visit Kilroy for Congress and help Mary Jo to victory.

>>While President Bush continues to try to convince Americans to support his war in Iraq, more Americans have been killed. According to ICasualties, there are 3727 confirmed American deaths in Iraq.

Just today I heard about more of our wounded who must travel from Columbus to Dayton to receive daily medical treatments because of injuries that were sustained in Iraq. This is just not right. Why can't they receive treatment here in Columbus?

>>People were very impressed with Governor Ted Strickland's quick response to flooding in Ohio. Strickland has made state agencies respond quickly to help those Ohioans.

>>Saturday is first home game of the season for the Buckeyes. According to Ohiostatebuckeyes.com, the football captains have been named. They are Kirk Barton, James Laurinaitis, and Dionte Johnson. Dionte Johnson is the son of former Buckeye Pepper Johnson.
