The Video

I've made a personal sacrifice to listen to a video of the Josh Mandel appearance at the Ohio Press Club.  Mandel, current Ohio Treasurer, announced his intention to be a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate at the event this past week---- even though he has been running as a candidate, collecting campaign funds, and flying from one end of the country to the other since February 2011.

Unfortunately, voters, Mandel refuses to take responsibility for his deliberate absences at the Ohio Treasurer's Board of Deposits meetings.  He has missed 14 meetings, even though he stated that he "...puts constituents first...." Really?  If he puts constituents first, why has he continued to miss the meetings that oversee the state's monies?

Josh Mandel also doesn't appear to have a good answer to a question as to why he never finishes a term of office and why he supported SB 5.  Most of what Mandel has to say you've heard before from the Republican talking points.

The video below, was put up by Phil Trexler of 1600pennaveblog. The tweet at Twitter@PhilTrexler, refers to the blog and video:

Here's the Akron Press Club video Mandel's folks tried to block.

In the 55 minute video, Mandel talks about himself for what seems to be an eternity.  Yawn. Mandel spends a lot of time blaming Sen. Sherrod Brown for things he doesn't control. Josh Mandel also doesn't seem to understand how the federal government works.

The clincher from Josh Mandel is that he is working on a plan to rescue the auto industry.  Someone needs to wake him up and tell him that President Obama already did it.

Oh, by the way, Josh Mandel will be having breakfast in New York on Monday morning with the Maverick PAC at 7:30am:

Mandel is so certain that he'll be the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate that he has plenty of other events planned too, including----March 12th.

I guess this is the way he puts his constituents first.
