News in Ohio....

On the eve of the Ohio primary.....

Columbus Dispatch:

A candidate for the Delaware County Republican Party’s Central Committee was arrested today, accused of throwing his opponent’s campaign literature down a sewer drain.

Rick A. Gemienhardt, 54, of 881 Africa Rd. in Berlin Township, was arrested by Delaware County sheriff’s deputies and issued a summons to appear in court on Tuesday.

He is to spend Election Day morning in Delaware County Municipal Court, appearing on misdemeanor charges of theft, criminal mischief and littering, the sheriff’s office said.....

Ouch!
_______

Golly.  Gov. John Kasich has decided that people in tornado ravaged counties of Ohio actually do need more help than he can provide.

Cincinnati:

Ohio Gov. John Kasich asked for federal help in tornado-stricken communities Monday, two days after he said he would not seek immediate aid.

A team from the Federal Emergency Management Agency is expected to arrive Tuesday in Clermont County to survey the storm damage and determine whether the region qualifies for financial or logistical assistance.....

.....More pressure on Kasich came early Monday when the village of Moscow sent out a call for help to Cincinnati and other communities because state resources were not sufficient to do the job.....

I'm glad that people made an issue out of this so that those who've lost their homes can get the help they need. Shame on Kasich for putting politics before the health and well-being of Ohioans.
