>>>>>  As he spoke yesterday at the Akron Press Club, Josh Mandel gave an odd response to a question if he supported President Obama's actions to save the auto industry.  Mandel's answer has some people wondering if Republican Josh Mandel, current Ohio Treasurer, knows what is going on in the state and the country with the auto industry.....

Vindy:

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, said he is developing a plan to “rescue the auto industry.”

...But Mandel said he “respectfully disagreed” that it saved the American auto industry.
Justin Barasky, spokesman for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, the Democrat incumbent who Mandel would face in the November general election if the latter wins Tuesday’s Republican primary, mocked the state treasurer’s comments.
“Mandel’s claim to be putting together a plan to rescue the industry is a laughably candid example of how completely clueless he is as to what’s going on with Ohio’s middle class and how he’ll say anything to get elected,” Barasky said.

Mandel seems a day late and a dollar short with his plan to "rescue the auto industry." Is Mandel out of touch?  He has missed 14 meetings of the Ohio Treasury's Board of Deposit meetings.  Mandel has been campaigning all over the country with fundraising trips to New York, DC, Texas, California, Utah, and even a meeting in Hawaii, and yet he only announces his "candidacy" yesterday? It might be suggested that Josh Mandel stay in the state, go to the required meetings for his elected office as Ohio Treasurer, and find out what is going on here in Ohio.

****  Republican Rep. Pat Tiberi (OH-12) must be trying to save some of his own campaign money.  When I saw his campaign ad for this election, I thought it looked familiar.  In Tiberi's ad from 2010 (at 18 seconds)  and his ad from 2012 (at 27 seconds), Tiberi uses the same people, video cuts.  You might say that this is no big deal, but I think it is.  Pat Tiberi hasn't had a new idea, and can't even come up with a new and different way to present himself to his constituents.  The same old worn out talking points are used by Tiberi, over and over, and over again.  Is this an indication of how lazy he is by using the same ads from previous years?   Just ask yourself----Where are the jobs Pat Tiberi said he'd deliver?
