-------------
Central Ohio is very excited because President Obama will be arriving this morning to attend a special ceremony for new officers for the Columbus Police Department. President Obama's stimulus package helped make this possible. From 10TV.com:
Just a few weeks ago, the city's 2009 police recruit class was informed that it would be terminated as a result of budget cuts. On Friday, that class will graduate in a ceremony attended by President Barack Obama.
Obama is expected to arrive in Columbus late Friday morning and attend the police graduation at the Aladdin Shrine Temple. 10TV.com will live stream Obama arriving at Port Columbus International Airport, along with the police graduation ceremony, beginning at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Sen. Sherrod Brown is also expected to attend the ceremony....
Local TV will provide some coverage of the event.
* This weekend, Columbus will host the annual Arnold Classic (yes, that Arnold!). Downtown Columbus is expected to be very busy with contestants and thousands of visitors.
