Hope?

> Democratic Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (OH-15) has been showing constituents how the President Obama's stimulus package has been helping. An article in Saturday's Columbus Dispatch explains how local health centers and the uninsured are getting help from the stimulus package.
(Note: The right wing Columbus Dispatch published this article about Kilroy on the day of the week when their circulation is at its lowest. Heaven forbid that the Dispatch should write anything positive about a Democrat!)

> NY Times:
“We’ll see the recession coming to an end probably this year.”

With those words, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke staked a marker on what he believes will be the end of the malaise that has descended upon the United States economy. And, he said on a “60 Minutes” interview that ran Sunday evening, the country will begin to recover next year — “and it will pick up steam over time.”

Not that the economy will spring back to the pre-recession days of two years ago. But Mr. Bernanke said — in a rare interview — that the economy’s problems should begin to stabilize this year....

I saw this on 60 Minutes on Sunday evening and it gave me hope!
