> Several years ago when I was a college student, ACORN helped us deal with an unscrupulous landlord. Now ACORN is under attack by the Republicans for what they call "fraudulent voter registration" forms. The fact of the matter is the people that ACORN have been registering are the working poor, the elderly, and young voters. Most of these people would vote Democratic. That is why the Republicans are attacking ACORN. Republicans want to prevent Democratic voters from voting. If you've noticed the loud, obnoxious, talking points coming from the Republicans and Faux News about ACORN, it might make you believe that the GOP has organized a smear campaign against the group. Once again the Republicans are doing their part to disenfranchise voters.
Call your local Republican Party office and tell them to lay off ACORN and Barack Obama. We want free and fair elections.
