* Bad News for McCain in Florida? You betcha!!!!
Seattle PI:
......Florida is a must-win state for McCain. Without its 27 electoral votes, he is all but certain to lose in November.
Until very recently, most polls put him narrowly ahead in the state, but his lead has been shrinking fast. Several polls have now put him behind and by Oct. 2 the much-followed average compiled by RealClearPolitics had Obama three points ahead.
This is truly dreadful news for the Republican. One reason may be that Obama has enthused legions of new voters. There are 250,000 more registered Florida Democrats now than in January, but the Republicans have gained only 80,000, out of an electorate of nearly 11 million. If previously apathetic young people and blacks turn out in droves, Obama could easily win....
McCain has pulled out of Michigan. (Sarah Palin just learned about it today.) There are rumors he'll be pulling out of Pennsylvania. Is the McCain campaign going down the tubes? We'll wait and see.
* In the debate last night, Sarah Palin failed to answer the question about what was her achilles heel. Didn't she understand? Doesn't she know what an "achilles heel" is?
