A Fine October Day in Ohio

This afternoon, Bruce Springsteen appeared on the Oval at Ohio State to support the candidacy of Barack Obama for President. Springsteen sang seven songs and encouraged the large crowd to work to get our country back. Also appearing with "The Boss" were Democratic candidate for Ohio's 15th congressional district, Mary Jo Kilroy, and David Robinson, Democrat for Ohio 12th district. Springsteen was introduced by a real American hero, John Glenn.
(According to the Dispatch, there were 10,000 people at the Oval to see Springsteen. The NY Times indicates that there were 50,000 at the Obama supported Springsteen concert in Philadelphia.)

The Obama campaign volunteers were out in force--- gathering names, recruiting more volunteers, and encouraging everyone to vote for Obama. It was phenomenal. I've worked on several campaigns over the years, and I've never seen anyone as well organized as the Obama campaign.

Check out the College Democrats at Ohio State at their website, http://www.osuteamobama.com/ or stop in at 1902 N. High Street, to see how you can help the Obama campaign.
