Stivers Still Supports Bush Economic Policy

An article in this morning's Columbus Dispatch lets voters know that Republican candidate for Ohio's 15th congressional district, Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, still is hanging onto the Bush economic and tax policies. In a debate on WOSU, Stivers wants to continue the Bush tax cuts which tend to favor the rich. Stivers, who once said that he wanted to bring change in Washington, obviously is still embracing the failed economic policies of the Bush administration. Stivers and his lobbyist friends associated with the banking and oil companies, are anxious to get Stivers elected in order to protect their industries. Can we really afford to send Stivers to Washington, DC given that our state is in such need of economic help?

In my humble opinion, the only real change we can bring is electing Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy for Ohio's 15th congressional district. Kilroy has worked hard for veterans and regular people. Kilroy would be an asset in Washington because she could help get things done if Barack Obama is elected President.

A vote for Stivers is a vote for the same Bush trickle down economics policies which have been disasters for working people. Kilroy represents real change and hope for us.
