News from Central Ohio

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio voters who are using the new electronic voting machines, should remember to push the button after making selections to make their votes count.

The Dispatch is also reporting that 9 former football players for The Ohio State Buckeyes were drafted in this weekend's NFL Draft.

Tomorrow Laura Bush will be at a fundraiser for Pryce. The fundraiser will begin at 11am at the Hyatt Regency, 350 N. High Street, in Columbus (across from the Nationwide Insurance building).

Two statewide polls put Blackwell ahead of Petro in the race for the Republican candidate for governor. The good news is they are both corrupt. The bad news is they are both corrupt.

Stephen Colbert did a great presentation at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Unfortunately, you may not hear about it. Editor and Publisher has the story about how Bush was NOT amused.

The New York Times is reporting that Republicans are trying to buy off Americans with $100 checks. The checks would be sent to only some people as a way to offset the high gas prices. I have a great idea. If you get one of these checks, donate it to the campaign of a Democratic candidate!
