Franklin County Ohio is still waiting for reimbursement of the $700,000 they spent in tracking and apprehending the highway shooter. Despite filling out scads of papers and making too many phone calls, the office of Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce (OH-15) has given county officials the runaround. The entire mess was explained in today's Dispatch. You'd think that Pryce would have made arrangements to get the county their money since this is an election year. Pryce, who is the fourth ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, has been telling the county to try other places for the money. However, according to the article, the county is forbidden to seek out other sources for reimbursement. (If she is unable to deliver the money to the county, perhaps Franklin County voters should deliver their votes to Mary Jo Kilroy.)
Monday, May 1st, is called a Day Without Immigrants with peaceful walks and rallies planned throughout the nation, including Ohio. According to the Columbus Dispatch, there will be walks and rallies in various parts of Columbus tomorrow.
