..Rep. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio) is “happy with the May 15 deadline and doesn’t want to change the 1 percent penalty,” said spokesman Rob Nichols....

>Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce is worried about losing her next election. Here are some excerpts from the Mercury News:
...In Columbus, Ohio, and the surrounding ring of suburbs, Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce conceded that population shifts in her district and the political standing of Republicans have converged to give her one of the toughest contests she has faced in her seven terms in Congress. Eyeing the possibilities, Democrats recruited county commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy to run against Pryce.
"Demographics definitely are changing and that is a challenge for me or any Republican," Pryce said in an interview earlier this year in Ohio. "The challenge is not to remain wed to the past. Politics is part of evolution and we as a party need to evolve."
Yes, demographics are changing and the people of the 15th are tired of the broken promises and the rhetoric. We are also tired of Pryce and her Republican congress members acting as a rubber stamps for this administration.
