Zogby Poll Shows Ohio Democrats Gaining

If you live in Ohio, you already know the general feelings that people have for Gov. Taft, Ohio Republicans, and the scandals. People are upset, mad, and just pissed off about the mess in Ohio. Now those feelings are reflected in a new Zogby poll. Here are some highlights:

Strickland (D) 38% vs. Blackwell (R) 35 %
Strickland (D) 36% vs. Petro (R) 36 %

...The poll showed widespread disaffection for embattled incumbent Republican Gov. Bob Taft. His job approval rating has climbed out of the single digits over the past 10 weeks, but still remains abysmal.

Just 16% said the Cincinnati Republican is doing a good job as Ohio's chief executive, while 83% said he is doing a poor job leading one of the most important political states in the nation. The poor approval ratings span the political spectrum - 93% of Democrats, 86% of independents, and 82% of Republicans give him poor marks for his work....

...Asked which party would be more effective are bringing jobs to Ohio and improving the state's overall economy, respondents favored Democrats over Republicans by a 42% to 35% margin....

The article mentions that the Republicans have been in control of the Ohio governor's office for 15 years. Wow! It seems like an eternity! If Ohio voters like scandals, continued job losses, poor economic conditions, and a lack of leadership, people should just vote for Petro and Blackwell who have been instrumental in making the state a mess. The Republicans just can't deliver anything.

However, if Ohioans are interested in a fresh, clean start, with hope for the future, it is time to vote for change and Democrats.
