Roll Call notes a new addition to Republican Deborah Pryce's (OH-15) staff. Here is part of the article:
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce (Ohio) announced Tuesday she has hired Rachel Robinson to be Conference chief of staff.
Robinson has most recently served as vice president of government relations for the Securities Industry Association. Before her stint at SIA, Robinson spent nine years on Capitol Hill and held the post of director of Speaker operations for then-Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).
Isn't this a firm that pushes legislation for favorable to banks and security firms? Could it be called a lobbying firm? The fact that the new person also worked for Newt Gingrich* (Mr. Corruption) is not necessarily a plus. If you've forgotten about the Gingrich record, check here.
