They said it!!!!!
Quote: House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce, R-Ohio, said Bush "was firing on all cylinders tonight." ??????????????What speech was she listening to last night?
Here is another Pryce comment: House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH) said, “We are always caught looking silly because of earmarks that don’t pass the laugh test. We really need to be smarter and more scrutinizing....”
I'd also say that Republicans need to be more ethical, but that is only my opinion.
Paul Hackett
"The last time this President 'fixed' healthcare, senior citizens were left with a confusing Medicare prescription drug plan. Here in Ohio only 11 percent of our seniors that need drug benefits have actually signed up. That is no way to 'fix' healthcare." Paul Hackett, D-Indian Hill, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate.
Every lobbyist's best friend, BOB NEY
By the way, Republican Rep. Bob Ney, under investigation because of his ties to Jack Abramoff is still raising big money. Infor here:
...Fellow Ohio GOP Rep. Michael Oxley’s Leadership PAC 2006 gave Ney $5,000 in November, as did California Rep. John Doolittle’s Superior California PAC. Ohio Rep. David Hobson’s campaign gave Ney $1,000 on Oct. 27.
Only 21 percent of individual Ney contributors who listed their name with the FEC put Ohio addresses. Less than 4 percent of the political groups that gave Ney money during the quarter listed Ohio addresses...
Obviously, Ney is the poster boy for lobbyists! If Ney is convicted of something, can he use his campaign money to pay for legal fees?
