FBI Investigates Republican Petro

Ohio Attorney General, and current Republican candidate for governor, Jim Petro finds himself the target of an FBI investigation. According to the Columbus Dispatch:
Attorney General Jim Petro stripped $2 million in annual legal work from three law firms because of their ties to a political rival.

Petro’s spokeswoman, Kim Norris, acknowledged yesterday that after he took office the attorney general severed nearly all contracts with three Summit County law firms aligned with the county’s powerful Republican chairman, Alex Arshinkoff, a Petro nemesis.

Petro’s decision has brought inquiries from the FBI....

President Bush will be visiting Wendy's Headquarters in Dublin at noon today. The Bush entourage will include the usual collection of Ohio Republicans: Voinovich, Pryce, Tiberi, Hobson. What---no Bob Ney or Tom Noe????
