Kilroy says there’s no need for the Bush administration to conduct another review of the deal putting a United Arab Emirates-controlled company in charge of significant operations at six major U.S. ports.
Kilroy, a Franklin County commissioner, wants the White House to kill the deal now.
Barring that, she backs legislation requiring congressional approval before the deal can go forward.
"The president should cancel the deal and (Pryce) and other members of Congress should call on the president to cancel the deal," Kilroy said. "Any review should come back to Congress, not just to the administration if the deal is not canceled."
and...
...Kilroy said she is skeptical of the administration’s forthcoming review, adding that Pryce’s subcommittee, which oversees the foreign investments panel, should have done a better job monitoring its activities.
"Only after Democrats discovered this sale and raised questions did she (Pryce) acknowledge a problem," Kilroy said.
Sounds to me that Pryce was for the deal until she was against it. Would you call that a flip flop?????
