Feeling Uneasy About JobsOhio?

* Ohio Gov. John Kasich might claim that he and his super secret JobsOhio agency have brought jobs to Ohio, but I disagree.  According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the numbers are not so great.

Here are some facts from the U.S. Bureau Labor Statistics (posted at Google Public Data)---

Gov. Ted Strickland's term of office was from January 2007 until January 2011. In January 2011, Strickland left office with 5.2932 million employed in the state.

Ohio's latest employment report (extracted from the link) has 5.3416 million Ohioans working. That means that Kasich has had a gain of only 48,400 jobs. In a story posted at MediaTrackers, it was noted that JobsOhio has spent $8 million.  Somehow spending $8 million for an increase of only 48,400 jobs seems wrong, and strange. Unfortunately, the super secret JobsOhio program will be away from the eyes of citizens and auditors. That should make you feel very uneasy.
