Hope Your Christmas Was Merry!

Sorry I haven't posted over the last few days. In trying to tie up all the loose ends for Christmas, I did not get a chance to sit, think, and write!

* Did you get a Christmas card from state Sen. Jon Husted? Plunderbund has a copy of the Husted Christmas card. I don't know if the picture was taken at his home (for voting purposes) in Kettering or his family's home in Upper Arlington. You might also note that the card was paid for by the Ohio GOP.

I don't recall Christmas cards being paid for by political parties. Somehow it seems like a waste of money considering that campaigns are so expensive.

* What is going on in the Lucas County Republican Party? Seems as though there has been some in-fighting about who exactly controls the party. Check out the story at the Toledo Blade.

* Despite the fact that they Republicans did not support it, health care reform passed the Senate. Although I'm not completely happy with the final product, I'm pleased that it is a start. Sometimes you just can't get everything. People will remember that the Democrats were responsible for passing Social Security, Civil Rights bills, and health care reform. The Republicans, of course, stood in the way of all of these important measures.
