....Stivers will challenge incumbent Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy, whom he narrowly lost to in the 2008 election.
"Kilroy may talk a good game about how she wants to protect Ohioans and represent their needs, but she just doesn't deliver," Stivers said. "The people want someone who won't just talk the talk, they want a representative who will walk the walk. I'll do that in Congress and I'll work hard each day to make my constituents proud of the work I accomplish."
Is he serious? "Walk the walk."????????? Stivers will deliver..........for the bankers! Kilroy has forced Chase to keep jobs in town instead of moving them overseas to India. (See Kilroy.house.gov)
Kilroy saved thousands of Ohio jobs. Stivers, the former bank lobbyist, will schmooze and pander to his pals in the banking industry. That is why bank PACs and their employees continue to contribute money to the Stivers campaign. (See individual contributors ----FEC)
Those PACs and non-party contributors (see FEC.gov) include:
JPMorgan Chase & Co. PAC $5000
COMERICA Bank PAC $1000
...and other insurance, health insurance, oil, utility PACs. It is early and more money will come to Stivers from these groups as the 2010 election gets closer. They want to invest campaign money in Stivers to help their various industries.
After the mess that banks got this country into, do we really need someone in Congress who will protect those greedy bankers? I don't think so.
