What is it with the Summit County Ohio Republican Party?

The Dispatch has the information on the tape of when the Summit County Republicans sued Ohio Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner:
....The tape shows a nearly five-hour deposition of Brunner in a lawsuit before the Ohio Supreme Court. The Summit County Republican Party is suing Brunner after she didn't accept the party's recommendation to appoint Brian K. Daley to the county Board of Elections.....
....Brunner mostly answers the questions in a matter-of-fact way. She shows little reaction, even as state Sen. Timothy J. Grendell, representing the Summit County GOP, and Assistant Attorney General Richard N. Coglianese bicker throughout.

At one point, a disgusted Grendell, R-Chesterland, throws down a stack of documents in front of Brunner, and Coglianese quickly says for the record that Grendell "threw the exhibits at the secretary of state." Grendell later apologized.....

It really makes you wonder why the Summit County Republican Party felt the need to sue the Ohio Secretary of State. Are they afraid of fair elections in Ohio? You bet. The Summit County GOP doesn't want to give up power to a Democratic Secretary of State.

By the way, in my humble opinion, the Grendell guy seems like a real jerk and very unprofessional.
