We just got back home from an absolutely huge party put together by Progressive radio, WVKO (1580 AM). There were close to 500 people in attendance at the Makoy Center in Hilliard, Ohio. Democratic candidates at the party included Mary Jo Kilroy, John O'Grady, Dan Stewart, Shawn Dingus, Danielle Blue, Russ Goodwin, Tracy Heard, Paula Borrks, Marian Harris, Jan Lanier, Tomi Lynn Dorris, Kelley Wenzlaff, Ted Celeste, and Bev Campbell. Entertainment was provided by Victoria Parks, The Ukulele Man, Magician Michael Kent, Donna Mogavero, and The Spikedrivers.
The highlight of the evening was the appearance of talk show host, Stephanie Miller. Although she was raised by Republicans, Stephanie Miller is now a progressive.
The enthusiasm we saw this evening was amazing. If this many Democrats are willing to go out on a cold night in Ohio and meet and greet their candidates, the Grumpy Old Party should be very worried. Very worried.
