..."This race is about Ohio values versus Wall Street values," Ted Strickland said during a campaign stop in downtown Newark, pumping up more than 200 area Democrats gathered for the party's annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner....
....Strickland continued, Kasich is running for governor on a platform which includes phasing out the state income tax, source of 46 percent of all state revenues.
"This guy is reckless, and he's wrong," said Strickland....
The people of Ohio are definitely looking at Kasich with more skepticism because of his proposal to cut the state income tax. Ohioans know that the loss of that money will severely cripple state's ability to fund schools and libraries, maintain highways and state facilities, and basic services. The financial mess we have now was caused by President George W. Bush and his Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Rob Portman.
