Early Poll

Here is an interesting tidbit from Roll Call:

In the highly competitive race to replace retiring Rep. Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio), Franklin County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy (D) had a double-digit lead over her opponent, state Sen. Steve Stivers (R), according to a poll released by Kilroy’s campaign on Thursday.....

What? You mean that people in Ohio's 15th district aren't interested in voting for a registered bank lobbyist like Steve Stivers?????? I'm shocked! Just shocked!!!!!

Swing State Project has the numbers from the poll that was done by Benenson Strategy Group:

Benenson Strategy Group for Mary Jo Kilroy (5/20-22, likely voters):
Mary Jo Kilroy (D)
: 47
Steve Stivers (R): 37
(MoE: +/-4.3%)

Both Swing State Project and Politico have more about the poll and the candidates in Ohio's 15th congressional district.

Remember that this is an early poll. We must be cautiously optimistic that Kilroy can beat Stivers. However, we must continue to work hard for her election.
