"Most Dangerous Man in America?"

A diary at DailyKos has some strong arguments supporting the writer's nomination for the "Most Dangerous Man in America"----

...Imagine a guy whose first order of business was to reject a stim grant of $400M, intended to create passenger rail between Ohio's three largest cities, after he'd mocked the program ad nauseam during the campaign....

....if you combine freemarket economics, anti-government, pro-Wall Street, union hater and baiter, and major hubris into one person...and throw in a compliant State House and Senate, this is not a recipe that will fix Ohio.

One can only hope that Ohio's labor people, progressives, and folks who care about Ohio's future start pushing back.  Now.  Because this guy is scary.

Whoa!!!!!

**** Today, the Ohio Senate saw something it hasn't seen in a very long time----over 800 people voicing their opposition to a Republican bill to end collective bargaining. This bill has been pushed by Gov. John Kasich and introduced by Ohio Sen. Shannon Jones, R-Springboro.

Dispatch:

...Unions see it differently. "This is a blatant attack on working people in this state," said Anthony Caldwell, spokesman for SEIU District 1199. "This appears to be nothing more than political payback for organizations that did not support Sen. Jones or (Gov.) John Kasich."

Michele Prater of the Ohio Education Association said collective bargaining "helps pursue the classroom conditions, the tools and the support we need for high-quality education. Any legislation that would curb collective bargaining rights would upset Ohio's balanced framework."

Shame on the Republicans for trying to blame everything on working people, firefighters, police officers, university employees, teachers, nurses, and state employees.  Kasich, Jones, and the rest of the do-nothing, hardly working Ohio Republicans won't solve the state's problems this way.

Call the Ohio Senate  1-800-282-0253 (466-8842 in Columbus) or your Ohio Senator and voice your opposition to this catastrophic legislation. Here are a few contact numbers to get you started:
