....Boehner (R-Ohio) shelled out an impressive $535,000 to the Republican National Congressional Committee -- most of it in the last two weeks of September, according to new federal disclosure reports.
Boehner's been on a fundraising tear of late, according to a GOP fundraising source, who estimates he's headlined over 100 events, raising more than $5 million for the NRCC and $3 million for individual candidates and party funds. He's also given more than $300k to sundry GOPers from his pet PAC Freedom Project.
The leader also beefed up his presence on Facebook, spending $3,570 in ads on the social networking site. Plus the Tan Man also knows how to throw a good party, spending $16,436 on greens fees for a golf fundraiser at the Wetherington Country Club back in Ohio in mid-July and another $8k for an an outing at the Firestone club in Akron.....
Yet Boehner claims to be the common man????? Sure.
>>>What have the teabaggers started in the Republican fold?
The Wall Street Journal:
The rise of conservative "tea party" activists around the country has created a dilemma for Republicans. They are breathing life into the party's quest to regain power. But they're also waging war on some candidates hand-picked by GOP leaders as the most likely to win....
Very interesting. The teabaggers have upset the Republican apple cart.
