Did you notice the Ohio Republican Party headquarters? I wonder how much money they got from lobbyists and special right wing interest groups to build that massive building.
>> Why would any person vote against a bill for equal pay?
According to the the Roll Call Vote 556 on HR 1338 ( Title: To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide more effective remedies to victims of discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of sex, and for other purposes. ), the following members of the House of Representatives voted against the Paycheck Fairness Act. This means these people don't believe women deserve equal pay for equal work:

Just because President Bush was against this bill, the "Rubber Stamp Republicans" must follow his commands. We'd like to thank these Republicans for delivering a painful lesson to working women. Do you know what that lesson is? If a woman has the same job qualifications as a man, the man, according to these Republicans, should get a better pay, because he is a man. They are also saying that the woman should not and cannot complain about this situation. These Republicans should be ashamed of themselves----especially the women.
(Note: John McCain has voted against equal pay for women in the past.)
