'I don't know'

If you want another war, you should support a Republican candidate for President. It appears that every Republican candidate is willing to send your sons and daughters to war.

Here is an example of what GOP candidate John Kasich said------
HuffingtonPost:

...Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican presidential candidate, suggested that he wouldn't immediately revoke President Barack Obama's nuclear deal with Iran if he were to be elected president.

But he would send U.S. ground troops to the Middle East to fight the Islamic State, the radical group known as ISIS or ISIL that has taken control of a huge swath of Syria and Iraq....

....the Ohio governor said he would send U.S. troops to fight a ground war against the Islamic State...

Our sons, daughters, relatives, and friends that fought in Bush's wars cannot even get proper medical care for their PTSD, wounds, and trauma, because the Republicans have cut budget funds for veteran medical care. However, the Republicans are ready to send them and others to more wars. Haven't we had enough? Shouldn't we be working for peace instead of war?

* Kasich has been making some town hall attendees a little uncomfortable for his lack of specific responses. Kasich repeatedly responded, "I don't know," to questions on policy. Cincinnati.com has more.

I'd suggest that people demand answers and not allow these 'don't know' responses from Kasich or any candidate.

Did you miss it?

In case you missed it------

•  Republican Dave Yost, Ohio's Auditor, has endorsed John Kasich for President.  They actually wasted time, money, and print to announce that crap!

•  Donald Trump continues to speak abhorrently about people and issues.

•  David Hansen resigned his post with the Ohio Department of Education. He tried to hide some numbers.

WKSU:

Top Ohio education official resigns admit charter school grade scandal
An Ohio education official resigned over the weekend after acknowledging he excluded failing grades for charter schools in evaluations of the schools' overseers. David Hansen, the School Choice director for the Education Department, confirmed last week he left F grades for online and dropout recovery schools off evaluations of charter school sponsors. He said he felt the marks would "mask" successes elsewhere. The omission boosted the ratings of two sponsors, which could make them eligible for more state perks. Hansen sent a one-line letter of resignation to state Schools Superintendent Richard Ross late Saturday. The evaluations have been retracted. Hansen's wife is chief-of-staff to Gov. John Kasich.

The Ohio Republicans will do anything to hide the failures of the charter schools and their owners. The owners of the charters contribute big, big money to the campaign coffers of Republicans, and they'll do anything to protect their donors.

Do you think that David Hansen thought we wouldn't notice his fudging with numbers?

•  John Kasich's pals want to influence what subjects are taught in schools.

SanDiegoFreePress:

The right-wing push to amend the U.S. Constitution by requiring a balanced federal budget is gaining momentum. In January, GOP Governor John Kasich of Ohio went on a six-state tour to rally support, and so far this year, New Jersey, Utah and North Dakota have passed resolutions calling for a Constitutional Convention to propose a balanced budget amendment. By some counts, 27 states have passed such resolutions; 34 are needed to trigger a convention....

....Prominent economists also warn that such an amendment could have catastrophic results during economic downturns and is exactly the wrong prescription for today’s sluggish economy.....

...ALEC has indeed been working hard, and now the corporate bill mill has opened up a new front in the decades-long battle for a constitutional amendment: high school kids....

It is not enough that Kasich has cut billions of dollars from K-12 education in Ohio, but now his financial sponsors want to push their agenda in our classrooms.  We should remain vigilant and make sure this propaganda doesn't make it into our schools!

• Some national writers have noticed the unpleasant personality of John Kasich.

Politico:

John Kasich has a résumé seemingly tailor-made for a serious run for the Republican nomination....

....But there’s just one problem, according to interviews with dozens of those who’ve worked in politics alongside him at various points over the past several decades: his short fuse.

.....His blowups have not simply been behind the scenes. In January 2011, while speaking at at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Kasich told a story about a police officer pulling him over on a highway for driving too close to an emergency vehicle. The police officer, the governor said several times, was an “idiot.” Kasich would later meet with the officer to apologize....

Read the entire article at Politico and then share it with your friends.  If you are from Ohio, you might want to add some additional instances of Kasich's angry outbursts in the comment section of Politico.

Stay Informed!

*  Ohio's media outlets continue to remind people that Republican Gov. John Kasich will announce his intent to be a candidate for President. I think that most Ohioans don't give a s**t about his candidacy. We already know what his anti-union, anti-women's rights, anti-middle class, anti-equality, and anti-public school agenda has done to Ohio.  It will be difficult for Kasich's ego to fit inside any upcoming Republican debate venue with the other pompous, racist Republicans.

*  Apparently, according to MotherJones, the Republican candidates appear to be all over the place on 'common core' in education:

...Jeb Bush is the ultimate True Believer. His non-profit, Foundation for Excellence in Education, which crisscrosses the country touting the benefits of the Common Core, has bagged over $4 million in Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grants...

....Sen. Lindsey Graham is anti-Common Core today. In February 2014, he even introduced a Senate resolution that "denounced the Obama Administration" for using federal funds to "coerce" states into adopting Common Core. But in September 2013—three years after his home state adopted Common Core—Graham had no clue about it. In this video, Graham, who at the time had been a South Carolina senator for 11 years, was asked what he thought about Common Core. His answer: "What’s Common Core?"

* Jim Jenkins of TheNews&Observer has some solid examples of how the Republicans are completely clueless about laws and the Supreme Court.

Happy 4th!!!!

Here is wishing you a Happy 4th of July!  Have fun!  Stay safe!

>  There are lots of people in Ohio wondering if Gov. John Kasich is really running as a vice presidential candidate because of his late entry into the Republican clown car of presidential  candidates. Kasich always talks about how holy and religious he is. However, the people of Ohio know that he hasn't treated women, disadvantaged children in public schools, people seeking equality, and the poor, with much fairness, goodness, and kindness. Kasich's funding cuts and disregard to the needs of people so that the rich can get more tax breaks, doesn't show much empathy.

FYI: School districts around the state are responding to Gov. Kasich's latest budget:

Cincinnati's schools are very unhappy about how Kasich's budget hurts them.

Port Clinton's schools will lose more than $700,000 in Kasich's budget cuts.

Mason City Schools will lose money under Kasich.

Other districts are also waking up to the reality of Kasich's education cuts.
